Sometimes in life we push away the people who we're closest to, because we ourselves are going through difficult times. 'Holy War' is a song about these misplaced frustrations, the internal battles we fight everyday and the joys we could achieve if we learn to accept our own flaws whilst celebrating, and not exploiting, those who give us love
